Air Force COOL
Air Force COOL is a pathway for enlisted DAF members to earn industry recognized professional certifications, licenses to enhance their active-duty work, and to prepare them as they transition to the civilian job market.
Credentialing has two purposes. First, it continues to professionalize the enlisted force by providing up-to-date industry-recognized credentials in a member’s AF job. Second, it provides a way for members to prepare for civilian life by ensuring that they are ready for work in the civilian sector. There are many aspects to credentialing including certifications and licenses. For more information click here.

CLEP / DSST Exams
The College-Level Examination Program (CLEP/DSST) provides an opportunity to earn college credit for the knowledge you already have by taking any of the introductory-level college subject exams available. CLEP/DSST exams evaluate your knowledge level gained through prior experiences and military training, and are equivalent to final undergraduate college course exams. By taking and passing these exams, test takers can earn college credit that can be applied towards their degree requirements.
DANTES provides funding for all service members to take one attempt at every CLEP/DSST exam. This can save service members hundreds or even thousands of dollars towards a degree, and can also save time compared to 8-12 weeks spent in a classroom or online. There are multiple exams available, covering material commonly required for most degree programs. These exams can be taken at our on-base test center hosted by Boise State University, and can also be proctored remotely.
